The Turkey Hold ‘Em is a fundraising adventure ride (gravel bike or mountain bike) in beautiful Marin County
benefiting the Marin Museum of Bicycling and the Marin County Bicycle Coalition.

This is a check point ride, you’ll build your own route, and can ride solo or in teams of two.

All proceeds will be given to the Marin Museum of Bicycling and the Marin County Bicycle
Coalition.

There will be prizes, a raffle, food, beverages, and good vibes all around!

The start and finish will be held at the Museum. October 19th, 9am.

WHat’s the Schedule?

9am start time at the Marin Museum of Bicycling in Fairfax, CA. Arrive around 8:30 for coffee and snacks.

Finish at the museum, then head on over to Splitrock and enjoy some libations!

What is it?

- A checkpoint poker run on bikes. We don’t release the checkpoints until the morning of the event. You collect a card at each checkpoint to make up your poker hand.

How long is the route?

- It will be as little as 25 miles and as many as 40 plus. If you choose your route poorly… longer… probably.

What kind of bike should I ride?

- A gravel/adventure/mixed terrain bike is ideal. Or a MTB. Or an E-Bike. Just not a road bike unless your a hero of some kind.

Why is it called “The Turkey Hold Em”?

- The event began years ago as a fundraiser the week of Thanksgiving for various local nonprofits. We’ve moved it earlier in the year for more reliable weather and kept the name. Plus, it’s run by a bunch of turkeys so…

Who does it benefit?

- The proceeds are split evenly between the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and the Marin Museum of Bicycling.
